Welcome to Inner Tides Counselling

Dawn at St. Mary's Lighthouse, Whitley Bay, England

Most people experience times when they feel low, worried or sense aspects of their life are beyond their control. As the inner tides of the mind ebb and flow, feelings such as sadness, anxiety, frustration and confusion may surface reducing capacity to experience contentment and happiness.

Sometimes these feelings arise from relationship difficulties with significant others, family members, friends or work colleagues. Or perhaps the ongoing challenges of navigating workplace issues, affecting performance, role enjoyment, or sense of job security (such as during restructuring and redundancy situations) begins to undermine personal wellbeing.

How can counselling help?

In today’s busy world it can be easy to forget you are a unique person, with your own talents, aspirations and needs. Counselling provides time and space in a supportive confidential setting, to explore your thoughts and feelings around any difficulty or distress you may be experiencing, helping you find ways to manage your situation and respond to life in more positive ways.
